Ebook Marketing Tips - 3 Power-Packed Tips For Tapping Into Massive Traffic Pools!

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

Once you are done writing your eBook, it's all down to the nitty-gritty of eBook marketing. Where are you going to start and how are you going to proceed from there? Below you'll find a couple of related tips that could just help you get the exposure (and profits?) you seek.

Goes without saying that you need a website for your eBook; preferably with a domain name that's the same as the title of the eBook. But what else can you do? Here are a couple of ideas:

1. Articles

Yes, you've worked so hard to get all the information together and writing your eBook, but this doesn't mean your work is done. A very effective way to ensure that the word gets around is to provide the internet community with some free information. This means writing a number of articles related to the content of the eBook and publishing it in article directories along with the website address of your eBook.

2. Blogs

Seeing as you've written an eBook, it's probably safe to assume that you like writing or at least you enjoy the subject you are writing on. So why not share your day-to-day experiences with regards to the topic with people who are of a like mind? This can be done using a blog - a free tool widely available on the internet which you'll be able to link to your eBooks' website.

3. Press Releases

A press release is a must for anyone who just had their eBook published and the best thing is you don't even have to be a professional journalist to submit one. Go have a look on websites such as PR Web for their press release requirements. After that, simply write and submit. Your press release will be stored and when one day a journalist scours the directory to write about the same topic as that of your eBook, your press release will be waiting.

As you can see, eBook marketing simply requires getting the word out there and letting people know that you have something that they will be able to use.

Ebook Publishing Tips - How to Publish Your Own Ebook in Just 3 Easy Steps

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

eBooks are one of the most viable forms of mass media today: they are easily made by anyone and they can be quickly distributed through the Internet. However, not everyone takes advantage of this amazing new media because many people do not know how to publish an eBook. Whether you want to use eBooks for a new business venture or simply as an outlet for your creativity, here's a guide to DIY eBook publishing.

Proofread It: Start with the final draft of your eBook. Make sure that it is complete, accurate and free of errors or else you will find yourself having to deal with all the errata later on. Make sure the formatting of your eBookis easy on the eyes. Is the white space sufficient? Is the character spacing readable? Is the wording concise?

Publish It: Considering that there are now several ways to automatically publish your eBook from your very own computer, you don't really need to look far to find out how to publish an eBook.

PDF eBooks can be created from your word processor using special plug-ins or applications. They maintain the original formatting you had in the draft document, while ensuring that your eBook is printable at the same time. This format is probably a better choice because it can be read by virtually any system and it can be spread without the threat of viruses.

Post It: After you have your actual eBook file, all you need to do now is distribute it over the Internet. You could upload the PDF document to a file server and then provide it to your readers for on-demand downloading. Alternatively, you may also keep it on your own computer and then individually email it to readers who have paid or requested for your eBook. Once you've mastered the technique of how to publish an eBook, there'll be nothing to stop you from spreading your ideas all over the world.

Ebook Writing Tips - Here is a Quick, Easy Guide to Ebook Writing

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

eBook writing is the easiest and fastest way to convert that great idea in your head into more money in your bank account. The best part is, you don't need to be an award-winning novelist to get into eBook writing. All it takes is a little writing skill, some time your word processor and a single great idea.

First Things First

Put your great idea down on paper and see if it makes sense. Now look at it from your reader's point of view. What can your readers do with your idea so that they could use it for their own benefit? Determining that point early on is key to the success of your eBook.

From Idea to the Internet

Arrange your ideas on paper: list down all the topics that might be related to your initial idea and think of all the other concepts that might support that idea. Once you've got that list, it's time to start writing your eBook.

There are several options when it comes to eBook writing, the cheapest of which would obviously be to write the eBook yourself. That way, you will have complete control over the content of your eBook and you will be able to project more of yourself into the content. However, if you are not entirely confident of your eBook writing skills, you could also outsource the writing task to a ghostwriter. Always proofread the draft and inject a bit of yourself into the content before getting it published.

A well-written eBook based on a great and truly effective idea could earn you a stash of cash without any initial investment. Even better, you can keep selling your eBook for as long as it is in demand, making a profit over and over for decades. For ideas on making money from nothing, you cannot beat eBook writing.

Ebook Writing and Ebook Marketing Are Two Sides of the Same Coin

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

Once you've got the hang of it, eBook writing is a cinch. Seeing how easy it is you may be tempted to churn out an eBook every other day. Hold on a minute though- writing an eBook is only one part of the whole endeavor. One of the reasons why it gets easier to write eBooks as you go along is that eBook writing is static - once you've master the art you've got a virtual goldmine right at your fingertips.

However, what will keep you on your toes is marketing your eBook. Market dynamics are constantly changing. Different people want different things and their needs change every day. Depending on the topic of your eBook you will have to make sure you are in touch with your target market at all times if you want your eBook writing endeavors to be fruitful.

Marketing your eBook

When you are done writing your eBook and you are entirely satisfied that it is ready to go, it's time to start promoting your creation. A good way to go about it is to create a website or landing page specifically about this eBook.

Next you will need to employ some of those cool SEO tricks that you've read so much about so that you can get your website or landing page promoted on search engines. Setting up a blog, joining forums, writing articles about your eBook will give your eBook the exposure it needs.

However some good advice would be to give the idea a bit of thought first. Do some research on the demographics of your intended audience and find out how you will be able to target them in your SEO campaigns in the most effective ways. Keep in mind that for your eBook to be a roaring success, acquainting yourself with the principles of SEO and planning your strategy to suit the current market needs are just as important as eBook writing itself.

Ebook Marketing Tips - 3 Easy Steps to Double Your Ebook Marketing Profits

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

You can double your ebook marketing revenue or even earn more, when you follow these 3 easy steps.

1. Formatting and layout

Many ebooks fail in the market place because they fail to the formatting and layout details. Though these are simple to achieve, some people either do not know these rules or do not bother about them. The first page obviously is for your title. Make the title as attractive as possible and use your creativity to add features. Remember to add a line in copyright language. The best way to cater to this need is saying "copyrighted on ..." The second page of your ebook should carry your own profile explaining your expertise and briefly explain your offering. A good photograph of yourself added to the profile would be immensely useful in your ebook marketing exercise.

2. Making different chapters

Divide your e-book into smaller parts and place them under different chapters. Make sure that the chapter heading tallies with the content. Draw up a table of contents with these chapter headings and let the table of contents be the third page.

3. Make it short and crisp

There is no golden rule that an ebook page should contain a certain number of words. That gives you the liberty to provide adequate white space around valuable content so that the readers have it easy. Remember, most people who surf the web are always in a hurry. Therefore, if you can write crisp sentences conveying the core message that will be appreciated and your ebook marketing attain greater heights.

Ebook Marketing Made Easy - 3 Easy Techniques For Getting Unlimited Publicity For Your Ebook

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

The easiest way to get your eBook noticed on the internet is by spending a large amount of money and hiring someone else do it for you. However, seeing as you've already written the eBook wouldn't you rather save that money and spend it on something far more interesting? Here are a couple of effective eBook marketing techniques that won't cost you a dime:

1. Launch your own Website

A website will serve as a platform for selling your eBook as it will probably be the first place people will look when trying to buy it. In addition, a website will also serve as a marketing platform that search engines will be able to list, even if your eBook is being sold on a different website.

2. Spread the Word

Once your website is complete, it is time to start with the real marketing to let people know that you have written an eBook and that it is filled with info they will be able to use. One of the best ways to accomplish this is through articles that contain snippets of information related to the content of your eBook. Once your articles are written, it is time to have them published in article directories where you will be able to list the address of your website in a resource box.

3. Join a Forum

Another marketing technique that enjoys some popularity is the use of forums. If you are an established author, start your own. Otherwise why not join one of the thousands available on the internet? Here you will have an audience of people already interested in the same subject as that of your eBook, so the only thing that remains is to let them know that it is available and that it's something they will be able to use.

As far as eBook marketing goes, the above should steer you in the right direction. Be sure to do some additional research, especially on subjects such as SEO and see how it could help you to promote your eBook on the internet.

Ebooks - Finding Ebook Ideas Which Sell

By Angela Booth Platinum Quality Author

Looking for ebook ideas? Ebooks can make a very profitable online business. However, to make money, you must have eager buyers.

Take your time when deciding on an ebook idea. Collect lots of ideas, and test them. You'll spend a lot of time in writing your ebook, and later in selling it, so the time you spend on research will ensure that your ebook is a success.

Here are five of my favorite methods for finding ebook ideas.

1. Read the News

If it's in the news, people want information on that topic. Read online and offline newspapers, especially local news. Local newspapers will often show you the birth of a trend.

2. Write to Order for Businesses: Custom Ebook Publishing

This method works best for business writers, who are writing for a stable of businesses. Ebooks make great promotional tools, so keep your eyes open for ebook ideas you can sell to your clients. You're looking for ebook ideas which will help people, while subtly promoting your client. For example, green energy and energy saving looks set to be in the forefront of people's minds for years to come.

Suggest these ebook ideas to your clients. You'll get paid for writing the ebook.

3. Read Forums

Rather than browsing forums for fun; browse them for ideas. People have the same kinds of challenges month after month. When questions are asked again and again, they contain the nuggets of ideas for ebooks.

4. Read Letters to the Editor

If you enjoy reading magazines, read the letters to the editor. You should get at least one ebook idea per magazine. A writer friend told me last week she found a great ebook idea in the letters in an old magazine at her dentist's.

5. Study Amazon Bestseller Lists

Whenever there's a bestselling book on a topic, it may well prove to be a brilliant idea for an ebook.

Can Anyone Create a EBook and Make Some Decent Money in the Process?

By Ethan Evans Platinum Quality Author

If you're wondering if you can create a eBook and make some money in the process, the answer is a resounding yes. But don't take my word for it. Let's look at this objectively. The biggest obstacle people have is that they feel they can't write. Then guess what? You can hire someone else to do the writing. This isn't intended to sound flippant, but if you're serious about making money then you'll find someone who will create a 40 page digital publication on your behalf. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg either, especially if you provide the writer with a good outline of what you want covered. So now you have an eBook. But how are you going to sell it? You need a website.

This brings up the second biggest obstacle that people have. They think they can't create a website because they don't have any technical skills. It's faster, cheaper, and easier to create a website today than at any other time in history. So if you're really worried that you can't figure out how to create a simple web page and put it up on the Internet, hire someone to do it for you. It's not hard. What do you say on the website? That's really easy. You tell people what you've got, you then explain the benefits and what it will do for them, and finally you tell them how to buy what you're selling.

The big question remains: can you make some decent money doing this? Please trust me, the answer is a resounding yes. But if you're still not convinced, do a little bit of research. Go to online marketing forums and ask if people are making money selling information products. I'll save you the hassle by telling you right now that ordinary people are supplementing their incomes by creating and selling eBooks on the Internet.

EBook Secrets - Creating an EBook That Sells

By Ethan Evans Platinum Quality Author

Do you want to create an eBook that sells? Then you need to take all that creative energy that you have and all those aspirations that you have about being a unique author and temporarily put them in a jar. We're not creating art. This isn't a quest to earn a literary award. We're interested in making some cold hard cash by publishing something that people will more than likely buy from us. How do we stack the odds in our favor? It's really simple. We do research and we see what kind of information is ALREADY selling. Do you understand how powerful this concept is?

Far too often we get caught up trying to figure out how we're going to sell something to people. Turn that around and start asking yourself what people want to buy. Then all you have to do is create what they're interested in buying and collect their money. This is a hardcore, brass knuckles tactic. We're going after the money. We're not looking for people to write to us and tell us how unique and wonderful our writing is, or anything like that. What we want to do is identify the types of information that people are already buying, and then create something that meets that demand. This is how you create an eBook that sells like hotcakes.

Look at it this way. When you've made a lot of money you can always take time out to create the book of your dreams and self-publish it. You can even pay to have it promoted. You can share your unique insights and rare writing abilities with the rest of the world. But until then, if you want to shovel cash off the Internet I'd highly recommend you focus all your effort on creating eBooks that people want to buy.

How to Launch an EBook Publishing Business Overnight With a Small Budget

By Ethan Evans Platinum Quality Author

Let me outline what you'll need to get started. You will need a word processing program. This is necessary to create your eBooks. There are free and paid versions of word processing programs, but both will typically get the job done. You will need a website. That means purchasing a domain name, and getting yourself a hosting account. Nowadays this is very easy and inexpensive to do. I've got a list of great places where you can get both hosting and a domain name very cheaply. You're going to need a way to create a simple web page. This sound a lot harder and more complicated than it really is. There are tricks and tactics that I'm familiar with that allow virtually anyone to get a simple web page on the Internet without having to spend weeks learning technical stuff. You will also need a payment processing system. That's a fancy way of saying you'll need a way for people to be able to give you money in exchange for the eBook that they're buying from you. So far, so good? Those are the raw ingredients.

Here's what you'll do next. First you'll find people who are looking for a solution to a problem. You will check to see if there are people making money selling information to these people. Some topics to consider are health, nutrition, and dieting. People are always looking for - and paying for - advice and information as it relates to the aforementioned topics. There are lots of others. Be creative, think about what some of your own needs and problems might be. Second, you'll create an eBook that solves someone problem or at the very least provides them with a viable solution to a perceived problem. This is easier than you might realize because by studying the table of contents of books that have already been written about the subject you will have a decent outline of what you will want to talk about within the pages of the eBook itself. If this is your first eBook, make it short and to the point. Between 40 and 60 pages in length, maximum. Third, you'll create a simple web page that basically tells prospective customers what you've got, what it will do for them, and how they can buy what you're selling. Focus on the benefits. Finally, you will send targeted traffic to your web page. The result is that you'll make money.

Naturally there's only so much that can be covered in a single article. But now you know how easy it is to get started in the information publishing business. Here's a little bonus tip: always sell what's already selling. That means looking at what seems to be popular and selling well, and then selling similar information to the same buyers. In many markets, people buy multiple products about a particular topic or subject. Just ask anyone who is interested in dieting and weight loss. Odds are they have an entire bookshelf full of information about how to lose weight.

Creating an EBook Quickly While Working a Full Time Job

By Ethan Evans Platinum Quality Author

Saturday morning is a time for rest and relaxation for most people. This is especially true if you work a traditional 9 to 5 job Monday through Friday. We all need some rest and relaxation, and Saturday morning typically represents the beginning of a recuperative two-day holiday that most of us get each week. I've always liked thinking of the weekend as having the potential to be a mini-vacation built into the week. This is something my friend Alex and I have talked about a lot. Alex would love to have more fun on the weekend, but his regular job doesn't pay very well and his wife is now staying at home full time to raise their two children. Let's put it this way -- my friend Alex doesn't have a lot of disposable income.

I'm always trying to get Alex to launch an eBook publishing business of his own. This hasn't been easy because he really doesn't have a lot of time. But you know, if he really wanted to generate an extra $1,000 per month, he could do it if he really wanted to. So often we tell ourselves that we don't have time for something, when in reality it's more a matter of our not wanting to make time. If you want something badly enough, you'll figure out a way to get it done. That bring us back to Saturday morning.

Can you spare 3 hours on a Saturday morning? If so, you could easily create at least one well crafted eBook at the end of a month. And let's be fair - odds are you can make a lot more time to work on launching an information publishing business if you really wanted to. But let's just stick with the idea that you can only devote 3 hours on a Saturday morning. Assuming that a typical month has four Saturdays, then that's 12 hours that you have at your disposal to create an eBook. Can you do it? I don't know about you, but my friend Alex finally did. And I really think you can do it too.

How to Kick-Start Your Own Ebook Shop Business

By Ken Wu

Are you interested in starting your own online business? EBook shop is a business model for anyone to get started without any physical stocks. It requires low capital and far less time in managing an online ebook shop when comparing with brick-and-mortar store. You will only need a web hosting, domain name, an ebook shop script and digital products to start your business as soon as possible. After reading this article, you will be well prepared to run a new business almost instantly.

Step 1: A Web Hosting

A web hosting is a must and an essential asset to maintain your ebook shop. In fact, there is not much technical requirement to run an online store. PHP with MySQL support will be sufficient to implement most of the popular open-source ecommerce scripts such as oscommerce, zen-cart, magento and freeway. However you should be aware of the disc space and bandwidth offered by your hosting company, because your ebooks and other digital products will be stored in your web disc space. Most hosting companies you will find online that offers cpanel are the ideal ones. Hosting plans cost less than seven bucks a month generally. Some suggestions will be ezwayhost or builthost.

Step 2: A Domain Name

Now you will need a domain name. Try to give some thoughts into it. You want the domain name to be well brandable and generic at the same time. It is strongly desirable to imprint a strong impression by looking at the name. When coming to domain name extensions, such as .com, .net, and .org etc, you should always look for dot com domain, because it is the extension people are instantly attracted to. Other extensions will confuse customers. Additionally, .com domains are cheap nowadays, and you can get it for less than $10 per annum.

Step 3: Set Up Your EBook Shop Platform

When you have got your domain name and web hosting, you will require an ecommerce script to run your ebook shop. There is a wide array of options you can choose from. And among the choices, oscommerce is the most popular, and you can readily find thousands of add-on to increase the script functionality. The script is free, but there are also paid versions like the CRE loaded version. Other free alternatives include Zen-cart, a variant from oscommerce; Magento, a fresh open-source script that gains popularity in recent years; and free way, a brand new script developed with unparalleled features like recurring payment. If you want premium solutions, there are paid scripts like Shop-Cart. You can readily find ecommerce web scripts online. However if you are new to web design, installation of ecommerce scripts can be bothering. In such case you may wish to buy an established ebook shop to get an instant store set up for you.

Step 4: Prepare Your Stock and Start Marketing

EBook shop requires you to have ebooks, software or digital products to sell, definitely. You may already have written some ebook titles that can be sold readily. If you haven't, you can look for digital products with resale rights included. EBooks with private label rights or reselling rights grant you the permission to sell them on your store and keep the profits. But only private label ebooks allow you to change the content and put your name to it. Make sure you check the rights of products before you plan to resell them.

Recommendation

Do you feel painful to set up your ebook shop? You can look for established business and ready-made solutions from the ebook shop at EBook-Bargains. There is also a free ebook starter package for you to resell immediately and keep 100% of the profits. Click here to visit EBook-Bargains.

How to Write an Ebook For the First Time

By Christopher M. Hall Platinum Quality Author

So you want to learn how to write an ebook but have no idea where to start. Writing your first ebook can seem daunting and almost impossible, but it is really not that hard at all. Need help getting started? These 4 tips should help you out.

Tip #1: Determine Your Goal

Why are you writing your ebook? Are you going to give it away as a free gift? Are you going to use it to entice people to opt-in to your list? Are you going to sell your ebook? Before you start, you need to answer this question.

I wrote my first ebook to give away on my squeeze page when people opted into my list. Since I was giving this book away, I wanted to share enough information to help, but not enough to answer all of their questions. I wanted them to come back to me to learn more.

Tip #2: Determine Your Subject

You should always write on a subject that you know and enjoy. If you don't, then writing an ebook will be a boring homework assignment instead of a productive challenge. In your first ebook, just share the basics. Don't overwhelm your reader with a lot of detail.

Tip #3: Determine Your Audience

Don't write even one word until you know who you are writing to. Are you writing to people that know nothing about your subject? This is usually the case in your first ebook. But in some cases you might be writing to people that need more detail. Don't mix the two. If you need to write on a high-level and then go into more detail, it is sometimes better to write two separate books.

Tip #4: Determine Your Length

My first ebook was 11 pages long. It seemed to take forever, but I could write an 11-page ebook in a day or two without much problem now. My point is that you need to start small on your first ebook. When writing your first ebook, it will seem like you are writing the Bible itself. But after you write your first one, you will be surprised at how much easier it is to write the second and third.

Ebook Business Tips - Why an Ebook Business is a Depression-Proof Business!

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

The current global economic meltdown could not have been a better opportunity for budding entrepreneurs. With millions of jobs simply disappearing from the anvil, more and more salaried persons are realizing the importance of having multiple sources of income. In some cases, those who have already lost their jobs are being forced to look for alternative options. If you're one of those unfortunate ones, well consider yourself fortunate as I recommend you to start an Ebook business of your own. The points below explain the rationale for my stance.

Point 1: It is home-based

In this business, there is no office to go to, and no lousy boss to tolerate. Your home computer alone can suffice to be your office, and it is unlikely that you need other personnel, so it can be a complete one-man show. Being home-based, an additional advantage would be that it would leave you with adequate time for many other things that you like to do in life.

Point 2: It runs on auto-pilot

That is to say, this business does not require a person to sit and manually monitor it round-the clock. Sales will happen and profits will be made, whether you eat, sleep, go beach surfing in Hawaii or skiing in the Alps! There are inventories to pile on or logistics to handle either.

Point 3: It is Recession-proof

Ebooks by themselves are a low-priced commodity that makes (huge!) margins simply due to the very low cost involved in producing them and also because they sell in large numbers. It is these volumes that help rake in the profits. Due to these factors, they would invariably sell, even in a scenario of economic downturn. In fact, those without jobs and looking to pass their time could consider buying and reading Ebooks, many of which do not cost more than a few dollars!

So, consider an Ebook business of your own, today!

How I Wrote My First Ebook in 3 Days

By Christopher M. Hall Platinum Quality Author

I remember writing my first ebook. I had all kinds of crazy thoughts and questions running through my mind. Would my ebook be good enough? Would my ebook sell? Would my ebook be long enough? Thankfully, I did not let these questions stop me from writing my first ebook. Now I make good money selling my ebooks over and over again and keeping 100% of the profits. Do you want to learn how to do the same? Follow the same steps I followed.

I Had A Plan

I would not have been able to write my first ebook in 3 days if I did not have a plan. How did I create my plan? I wrote 15 articles on different topics within my main subject and submitted the articles online. After a week, I looked to see which articles were read the most. I then wrote an ebook on those topics. Why? Because I knew if people read articles on those topics, they wanted to know more.

I Had An Outline

Before I wrote the first word in my ebook, I created an outline. I was amazed at how much simpler the writing process became once I followed my outline. If I ever got stuck or was not sure what to write about next, I found the next point on my outline and wrote about it.

I Had A Desire

The main thing that kept me going while I was writing my ebook was understanding the reward that would be coming. In how many businesses can you create a product for absolutely nothing, deliver it for absolutely nothing, sell it for $37 - $67 a piece, and keep 100% of the profits? See what I mean by reward?

I Had Determination

Writing an ebook is not easy and it takes time. I had to have great determination to complete the entire book in just 3 days. But I found out that writing an ebook is like taking medicine - just do it quickly and get done with it. Don't drag it out. Once you are done, then you can start seeing the awesome rewards and benefits from owning your very own ebook!

Ebook Profit Tips - Why You Should Start an Ebook Business of Your Own Today!

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

As much as we love and wish to spend our time the way we would prefer to, in most cases, the jobs that we hold prevent us from going ahead and doing all the little things that we like to do. Beyond the office hours, there is very little time left for anyone to really do anything else, other than rest and get up afresh for the next day's drudgery in office. Thankfully, there is help at hand, in the form of home-based businesses such as selling EBooks online. Given below are points, justifying my stance that starting an EBook business of one's own might just be the best thing to do!

Point 1: No Barriers to Entry

Most businesses tend to have at least some barriers to entry, but this one has practically none! No one can stop you from starting your own website and selling your very own EBook there. In this case, there is no shelf space either, that you need to compete for and make sure that your EBook makes its presence felt there. There is simply room here for everyone!

Point 2: Easy to Develop

You can come out with an EBook of your own without practically doing anything. Even the content of the EBook is not necessary to be developed by you - you will find ample freelancers online who will develop not only the entire EBook, but its entire structure and design - and give you a final product which is ready for delivery, for an absolute pittance.

Point 3: Low (and often NO!) Marketing Costs

EBooks require very little marketing efforts, if at all any. As long as you manage to develop a great, impactful Sales Page for yourself, the rest will simply fall into place. Just put in some effort towards SEO-optimizing your Sales Page/Website so that it appears foremost among the search results when prospective buyers search for EBooks on the same subject, as your own EBook.

Would you still not consider an EBook business of your own?

The Hidden Truth About Ebook Businesses

By David J. Goldsmith Platinum Quality Author

An ebook business is an excellent business to be involved in both from the perspective of an author and a businessperson. In case you do not yet know all the benefits of an ebook business, here is a revealing look at why so many people are writing and selling ebooks.

Ebooks From An Author's Perspective

From an author's perspective, it's certainly no more difficult to write an ebook than to write a regular book and in many cases it can be considerably easier.

Consider that the average ebook is much shorter than the average book in regular print. I have seen many successful ebooks in the range of 25 to 80 pages and it is certainly easier to write a 75 page book than 225 pages or so in a regular book.

Many ebook authors find that writing an ebook becomes easier if they begin by clearly outlining the structure of their ebook. They carefully plan out a sequence of chapters. Next, they look at each chapter as a separate article that needs to be written. Many people can write one article within a day, and at that rate, writing an entire ebook doesn't take too long.

When you consider the amount an author gets paid for each copy of his book, ebooks are a much better way to go. Many traditional book authors only earn a dollar or two for each paperback book that sells, but with ebooks an author will normally pocket 80% to 90% of the cover price for every copy sold.

Ebooks From The Business Perspective

Here are five reasons why ebooks make good business sense and are therefore a great business to be involved in.

An ebook business is open 24 hours. As long as your web site is up, customers from around the world in any time zone can visit your store and make a purchase.

Low Production Costs. Ebooks are very cheap to make. Once you have your ebook it is virtually free to make a copy for a customer.

Low Distribution Costs. Ebooks can be downloaded or emailed at virtually no cost.

High Prices. Contrary to what some people believe, ebooks do not always sell for low prices. Sure, there are some ebooks available for $1.99. But look at the ClickBank marketplace and you will discover many ebooks selling well at $49.95

Additional Revenue. You can make even more income than the cover price of the ebook by advertising other products inside the ebook, using affiliate links. By doing this you can continue to earn income from commissions that you receive as your customers buy additional products which were recommended inside the ebook.

How to Ensure Your EBook Design Will Convert Customers Like Crazy!

By Kieren Moran

For those who wish to make the conversion rate of their digital product or newsletter rise, I have listed here some very important ebook design tips that you'll need to apply.

One of any ebook's most crucial aspects is it's ebook cover design, as it is there to show your future readers exactly what can be expected in terms of the ebook's subject, as well as providing a means of which they can get an idea of what the quality of it's contents will be like.

Considering the fact that you want your customers to appreciate you ebook both before AND after they have bought, it is recommended that you use good ebook design both within the ebook layout and also on it's cover.

eBook Cover Design

For conversions to jump considerably when using an ebook cover design you must make sure that there are 3 primary attributes being met. These are, firstly, that it is easy to to look upon and artistically pleasing in some way, that there is a higher value perceived for the product it represents, and that it is clearly on par with or better than other professionals in the market.

There are a number of ways for you to make sure that your cover design is effective. You should not rush the creation of your eBook cover design. You are going to want an eBook cover design with a readable font style and size, an image that fits well with the concept of the eBook, and a design that is visually appealing without any clutter.

Readers will be much more inclined to trust your ebook content when you have used a visually attractive and authoritative ebook cover design. If they believe this about your ebook, and the information inside is written well, you will certainly attract many more sales and conversions for the product indefinitely.

eBook Design Internally

The inside eBook design on the other hand has a different set of requirements. You should include images in your eBook design, but they should be proportionate to the written content rather than overwhelming it.

You should only choose a couple of primary colors in terms of fonts, because readability is extremely important when creating an eBook design that promotes better conversion rates.

Be sure to include also a contents table in your ebook layout which can be individually clicked to allow for your reader to skip to sections easily and have no trouble finding the exact part that they are after when searching.

A well written, well put together eBook design is one that utilizes readable fonts and colors, a solid and easy to maneuver layout and short pages in a font that is sized well not only for reading on a computer, but also for printing as well.

Each page of your ebook layout should have an approximate word count of around 300 words in order to leave enough room for desired images or chapter titles you have. Images are not something you'll want to use on every single page though, as this will cause the ebook contents to load slowly on most user's computers, and it will also give it a bogged-down look.

If you have any ebook layout concerns when creating your next ebook design it is often good practice to see what a part of it looks like when printed out. Seeing the design on paper will give you a new perspective and help you to make any needed improvements.

Having a well designed ebook will often help you attract higher conversion rates and sales online. If it is easy to tell that you have put much time and energy into your ebook then your customers will appreciate your efforts... leading to them telling others about your attractive and helpful ebook.

Ebook Writing Revealed - The Latest 4 Secrets to Make Lucrative Money From Writing Ebooks

By Ian Jackson Platinum Quality Author

If you have the ability to write an ebook, then you are lucky enough to have the ability to create one of the hottest online commodities currently known nowadays. If you have a talent for writing excellent content, then you quite possibly have the traits to make yourself a lot of money by creating these valuable downloadable books that are always needed by Internet users. Potentially you can make hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Here are the latest 4 secrets to help you make lucrative money from writing ebooks.

1. You can use them to generate sales leads. Are you creating mid-high end ticket products like coaching courses or CD sets? Then you can use ebooks to generate leads for them. They are ideal to put include in your opt-in list, and offer as a free resource to the potential customers who are the most likely ones to purchase from you. Be sure to create content that speaks of your skill and expertise; your credibility too. Convince your list and other prospects that you can supply all they need in order to improve their quality of life, and develop extra skill sets too.

2. Selling them! This is maybe the most obvious way to earn with you ebooks. When you want to boost your potential sales, I recommend writing about those matters which interest your target audience. Then advertise them online for maximum exposure. The relevant W2.0 sites such as blogs, Facebook etc. are just two of the sites that are usually visited by your prospects.

3. Ebooks can be used as an "ethical bribe" and nowadays you'll find prospects are unlikely to opt-in to your list for more information, without getting something of quality in return. You get their email and name; they get quality helpful information. Once this is done, you can then get to work and develop long-term business relationships.

4. They're extremely powerful as a viral marketing tool. Appropriately loaded with your links, you can send them out to any interested party, to increase your sales potential. Include a clause on the first page, suggesting that if anyone wants to use your ebook as a free giveaway to anyone else, they should feel free to do so, as long as your content and links remain, unaltered, and intact.

Ebook Writing Tips - 3 Shortcuts to Creating Ebooks That Put Real Money Into Your Account

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

Millions of people surf the Internet everyday from different corners of the world looking for a variety of information. People who can successfully gather information on these topics and present them in an engaging tone to the web viewer can benefit from ebook writing. The three sure fire ways discussed below will help you create e-books which people would love to read.

1. Importance of titles

The first step in ebook writing is creating impressive titles which motivate the web viewer to go beyond the title and read your e-book. The title should be relevant to the topic and convey an idea of what can be expected inside the e-book. "10 things you should know before investing in real estate" is an example. The next step would be to make sure that you have at least 10 informative sub-sections dealing with real estate investments.

2. Use of numbers

The use of numbers in your title has a magic value. 8 out of 10 are more likely to click on a title which says "10 points ..." than "Ten Points". That is the magic value of numerical. The numbers stand out from the crowd of alphabets and will be easily appreciated by the reader. It has the power to register faster in the minds of the readers.

3. Setting the tone

E-books are intended to provide information to web viewers and your ebook writing should address this need. The ideal way to present the information is in the question and answer format. Break the content into several answers and frame appropriate questions for them.

Ebook Publishing Tips - The Quick and Easy Way to Start Publishing Your Own Ebooks

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

EBooks have become a virtual godsend for those who cherish reading but dread lugging big and heavy books around. EBooks are portable and can be carried around, contained within any of the electronic devices that many of us carry around all the time - be it our laptops, mobile phones or pen drives. And of course, not to forget the benefits that EBooks have on offer for writers - no expensive publishers to entertain nor any major marketing expenses to incur. Follow the steps enlisted below for fast and easy EBook publishing.

Step 1: Register Your Own Domain

This is an inexpensive, and at the same time, an important step. You need to establish your credibility, both as a writer as well as an entrepreneur. And with your own domain, you will be able to achieve both these goals. Additionally, on your own website, you would have complete power and control over how you market your EBook. Lastly, there would be no commissions to be given out to anyone for EBooks sold on your own website!

Step 2: Develop the Sales Page

To have good sales, it is a must that you develop a Sales Page for your EBook. And this would be irrespective of whether you sell your EBook on your own website or any other. Remember that there are thousands of EBooks on the Internet, waiting to be sold, and if yours is to be sold ahead of all the others (in the queue!), it better stand out in some way, which the Sales Page will ensure that it does.

Step 3: Publish it in Multi-Formats

Publishing your EBook in a single format such as PDF will severely restrict the possible readers, and thus inhibit prospective sales. Therefore, look to publish it in multiple formats, including basic and more commonly prevalent ones such as MS Word. Ensuring multiple formats will also give your prospective readers the feel that you actually care for them, and are actually giving them options.

Kindle Second Generation E-Book Reader Review

By Panah C Rad Platinum Quality Author

Amazon has been in the book business for years. Jeff Bezos started Amazon as a simple online book store, but in the past few years Amazon has become one of the largest retailers around the world, selling electronics, grocery, and almost anything money can buy. But throughout the years Amazon has stayed loyal to what made it great in the first place. Millions of people use Amazon to purchase books every year and save money in the process. Amazon's top management clearly realized their opportunity here, and that is why they launched Kindle 1.0 a year ago. Kindle 1.0 was an e-book reader that was designed to help folks buy books and receive them instantly on their e-book reader. With most e-books selling for $9.99, consumers managed to save thousands of dollars on their book needs and consequently buy more books.

Kindle 2.0 is the 2nd generation of Amazon's top gadget. The device has been re-designed to make it easy for folks to use. The E-ink technology has been improved a lot and the screen is clearer. Amazon has increased the internal memory for Kindle to allow folks to carry over 1500 on the device. You also can leave the device on for more than 2 weeks with a single charge. The device is highly portable (only 10.2 ounces) and is thinner than your iPhone 3G.

Amazon Kindle is a connected device. Your e-book reader comes with a complimentary wireless connection to Amazon Whispernet. You can use this service to access Wikipedia, do your research, or even update your status on Twitter. Your connection allows you to receive your purchased books from Amazon in less than 60 seconds which means you won't have to wait weeks to get your books ever again.

Read-To-Me is an innovative feature that has been added to Kindle 2G. Now your e-book reader can read your books to you. Whether you are too tired to read or you want to multitask, you can use your Amazon reader to do your reading for you.

Amazon Kindle 2G is not for everyone. The device is not cheap (priced at $359) and is designed for people who read a lot of books. If you are a casual reader, you may want to stay away. But if you read lots of books every month, you should consider purchasing the Kindle.

Not sure about Kindle 2.0?

My eBook Cover Looks Like It's Had Too Much To Drink!

By Heather Colman Platinum Quality Author

We've all seen them. Those ugly little covers that look out of wack. What once started out as beautiful ebook cover ends up looking like it had too much to drink. Why? The most common reason is improper use of html code. The height and width attributes in your html code are used to tell the browser exactly what size the image is and how to display it properly. It works that way with all browsers.

If you're not familiar with html code, these attributes look like this.

Width="XXX" Height="XXX"

(XXX = the actual height and width of your image in pixels - 1 inch = 72 pixels)

Let say for example your images natural attributes are width="167" height="237".

Natural attributes means it's the actual size of the image.

By using the images natural attributes in your html code, the image will display correctly and look like the professional cover it started out to be. You'll see the smooth clean lines and natural proportions. The cover displays as it was intended to look and does a terrific job of presenting you and your product as the professional you are.

If only life were always that easy. Unfortunately, we have to make adjustments when things don't fit. Let's say you look at your web page you find that your ebook cover is the wrong size to fit in that special place you want to put it. Your first temptation might be to simply alter the attribute numbers to resize the image.

DON'T!

This type of improper sizing using your html code (changing the height and width attributes) to make these type of adjustments only results in distorted images.

Always use the "actual" attributes for your images. Why? Your image is a representation of your product. It's your online salesman. You wouldn't let a "human salesman" go out into public and sell your product if he was under the influence of alcohol. You don't want your "online salesman" to look like it's had too much to drink either.

So what do you do when you've come to this road block?

The ideal solution is to plan ahead and not put yourself into this position. Figure out ahead of time what specific sizes you will need and order those sizes when your images are designed. Be sure and tell your designer what you need. Don't assume that they will automatically know.

If you find that you need a different size later on, the proper way to resize your image is by using a graphics program or hiring a cover designer to properly resize it for you. The designer may charge you a small fee, but it's worth it to look like a professional.

If you're watching your pennies, most any graphics software will do the trick. If you don't have any software to do this and you don't want to spend the money to have a designer resize the image for you, search for "Free Graphics Software" on Google and I guarantee you'll find something suitable at little or no cost.

eBook Structure and How to Create It

By Robert Boyd

Once you know what sections you are going to have in your eBook, it's time to figure out what needs to go in each one.

Now there are a number of ways you can do this, but the best way to begin with is probably to repeat the process you just went through and work out how each section will be structured.

Don't get worried about so much talk of structure - in reality it's actually your best friend! You see, what we're doing here is breaking down your eBook into progressively smaller chunks, so that when you actually come to write it (which can be a little scary the first time you sit down to do it), you won't be faced with a monster of an eBook that needs to be written.

Instead, you'll be looking at lots of bite sized little pieces of information that need to be written. This isn't nearly as daunting as you'll be able to tick each individual one off your plan as you write. And believe me, that's a great feeling!

Think about it for a moment. Which would you rather do:

- Sit down with the thought that you have a whole eBook to write?

- Sit down with the task of writing a single chapter of that eBook?

- Sit down to write one section of one chapter - which may not amount to much more than a single page?

I know which one I would choose - which is exactly why I always write eBooks that way myself.

An example of fleshing out a particular section:

Chapter Three - Turning that idea into a fully fledged eBook

- Getting a structure together

- Fleshing out your structure

- Do you have enough material?

- How many pages?

- Images or no images? Benefits and drawbacks

- How is it going to look? Cover, typeface, etc.

These are very basic notes, and I had a sheet of 8½" x 11" paper on hand which I scribbled down ideas that came to me that I wanted to include while I was writing the eBook, but that's all you really need to get you going. If you do this for each chapter, you'll be well away and churning out those pages faster than you might think.

Well, now you've read my plan for this chapter so you know what's coming next, right?

Create a PDF Ebook - For a Beginner, by a Beginner

If you are going to create a PDF ebook, you are going to need a software program to help you do this. This article does two things. First, the article helps the beginner understand the Adobe software package and how it relates to ebooks. Second, it provides a free alternative for creating your own PDFs. Since this was my first attempt at creating a PDF, this article was written for a beginner, by a beginner.

This is my general understanding of Adobe and how this company relates to PDF ebooks.

Adobe Systems created the portable document format (PDF) in 1993.

Adobe Acrobat is a family of computer programs created by Adobe Systems. According to Wikipedia, they were "designed to view, create, manipulate and manage files in Adobe's portable document format (PDF)".

Adobe Reader is one of the programs within the Adobe Acrobat family. You can download Adobe Reader for free. This software is used to view and print PDF ebooks.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard is the software package needed to create PDF files. At the time of this writing this package cost $299.00. (You can also use Pro $449.00 or Pro Extended $699.00).

In summary, if you would like to read PDF ebooks you can download for free, Adobe Reader. If you would like to create PDF ebooks as well, then you need to purchase one of Adobes software packages, such as Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard.

Since I know that I would like to create PDF files, I have decided that I will need a software package to do this. I do not however, want to spend $299.00 to create my first PDF ebook. Adobe looks like a great product and a package that I may buy in the future, but for my first project, I would like to do this as simply and as cheaply as possible.

OpenOffice

I recently found out about a product called OpenOffice, similar to Microsoft Office. This is free software which can be downloaded at openoffice.org. I found this product via a "You Tube" video. After watching the video, I visited the website at instantebookpublishing.com. The website provides information about ebooks and includes a copy of the video mentioned above. It's a great nine minute video that walks you through creating your first PDF with OpenOffice.

I have recently put this product to the test. I downloaded the software from OpenOffice and used it to create my first PDF ebook. Creating the ebook took less than an hour following the simple instructions from the video. Again, this was my first PDF and it took less than an hour.

The PDF included internal links and one external link. The internal links allowed me to jump from a table of contents directly to the chapter I wanted to read. The external link was simply a link to my website. Creating these links were very easy and the video shows you how.

So, I was able to create a PDF ebook at no cost by using the following:
1) Open Office - the word processor allows me to create PDF files.
2) instantebookpublishing.com - nine minute video showing how to use OpenOffice to create a PDF.
3) Adobe Reader - allows me to read the ebook (even though not created with Adobe).

From start to finish, it took less than two hours.

At this point, my PDF ebook is very basic, but since it took me only a couple of hours and I learned a great deal, I am very happy with my results. I hope you have the same success.

Ebook Creation Tips - How to Choose the Topic For Your First Ebook

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

The one question you must ask before deciding to create an ebook is - what topic is your ebook going to be about? Right now, maybe you feel that you don't have enough knowledge to sell products online. Don't worry, sooner or later you will acquire the required knowledge.

So the first thing you have to do is to decide on the topic of your ebook. In the beginning, I listed out all my interests and went on from there. I suggest you do the same. Create a document in Notepad or Microsoft Word and make a list of the topics that you have knowledge about or have an interest in.

What if you don't have knowledge on the topic you are interested in? Well, you can certainly read up on the topic by borrowing books from the library or reading articles online. If push comes to shove, you can hire a ghostwriter from Elance to write up your ebook for you.

Once you have decide on the topic that you want to publish your ebook about, it's time to break it down into sub-topics. For example, for golf, you might have sub-topics like choosing a golf club, how to improve your golf swing, tricks etc. These sub-topics will form the basis of your ebook chapters. In fact, what I do is write out the contents page first and simply fill it up with sub-topics.

That's it! We've covered how to choose a topic for your first ebook and how to break it down into sub-topics that will form your publication.

Ebook Selling Tips - 3 Surefire Tips For Selling Ebooks by the Truckloads

By Fabian Tan Platinum Quality Author

You may be Jeffrey Archer's next avatar when it comes to writing fiction, but have you been able to get your work published? Drew a blank there? Ebooks come to the rescue here, as they can very well be self-published, with very little time and money spent on producing and marketing the same. And if you follow the tips enlisted below, selling Ebooks would be an absolute breeze for you:

Tip 1: Make use of third-party book sellers

You may have written a fantastic Ebook but your website may not be seeing the kind of traffic required to actually sell the number of copies of the Ebook, as you desire. That is where a third-party Ebook distributor could really come handy. They already have a huge amount of traffic coming in and a loyal and established clientele, so it is relatively easier to make your mark there. Sites for consideration would include Lulu.com, BookSurge.com, and iUniverse.com, among a host of many others.

Tip 2: Deliver your Ebook in Multi-Formats

Many Ebook publishers make the mistake of publishing their offering in a single format, which in most cases is the PDF format. Don't do that, as you will turn away any potential customer out there, without the Adobe Acrobat Reader software, required to view documents or Ebooks in the PDF format. Alternative formats that you could consider include the raw HTML format as well as the Windows executable file format.

Tip 3: Provide a Money-back Offer

Among a host of promotional schemes possible, a "money-back" offer invariably works very well. It conveys to customers the confidence that you have in your product. Splurge on this offer - which you are offering on your website, and you are likely to see spiraling sales of your Ebook within no time.

So as you can see for yourself, you really could be selling Ebooks by the zillions, all by yourself!
